Coffee Rub Recipe

This rub was inspired by our customer Gary who used Dahlcast Mountain Blend Bold to create a rub for ribs. Thanks for sharing, Gary!

¼ cup dark roast coffee, finely ground
 ¼ cup chile powder
¼ cup dark brown sugar

2 tablespoons smoked paprika
2 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon ground cumin


This recipe yields close to a cup of rub and should cover 2 to 4 slabs of ribs or 4 to 6 large steaks.

Note that Gary pre-cooked his ribs and then applied the rub.




Step 1

Add all ingredients to a small bowl. Mix with your fingers until the brown sugar is broken into fine pieces.

Step 2

Generously sprinkle a thin layer onto your steaks or ribs and then press down with your fingers so the rub sticks to the meat.
